Each year, as Memorial Day approaches, the Auxiliary visits the schools in our community and speaks to our children about the significance of the Poppy. We tell them its' history and of the field of Poppies in France.    On Memorial Day, you can find us at the local cemetary assisting in the Avenue of Flags Ceremony and handing out Poppies to visitors and participants. Members of our Junior Auxiliary, Lay the Wreath and the Cross of Poppies at the foot of our Veterans' Memorial.

In 2005, during the Memorial Day celebration , Junior Auxiliary Girls, Jessica Bremer and Kassia Bryan were the Poppy Girls.
