Grew up on a farm southeast of Oberlin.  Went to South Bethal 
country school.  Went to DCHS and graduated 1938.

Married John Curtis Young January 30, 1939.  They lived on a farm
southeast of Oberlin.They moved to Oberlin in the early '50s. 
There were two children born to the union.  Sandra L. and 
Dennis N. 

Worked in a hotel, grocery store, and cafes.  Owned and operated 
Oasis tavern for 24+ years.  Then after retirement was a vendor at
flea markets for 20 years.

Has been a member of the Auxiliary for 4 years.
